Brittany Taylor

Brittany is a 33 year old widow with a 6 year old son, Gibson. She is a native of the Humble / Huffman area and graduated from Hargrave High School. Brittany is the daughter of two of our closest and dearest friends, Paul and Laura Taylor.  Paul and Laura have been a Big part of CureFest since the beginning and helped in raising lots of money for the cause.  They never dreamed that they would now be on the other side of the cause. It is now our turn to help them with their fight with this horrible disease.  Brittany has always been a strong Christian and strong in her faith and loved to volunteer for CureFest Events.

Brittany had suffered from headaches since middle school. Over the years she was continually misdiagnosed from everything from vision issues to migraines to depression. August of 2019 it was so painful she went to an ER where they finally did a CT and found a 2cm tumor. She was transferred to Memorial Hermann medical center where Dr. Tandon did her first craintomy. When the biopsy came back she was diagnosed with Meningioma WHO grade 2&3 brain cancer. She had 6 weeks of radiation. January 2020 doctors found 4 more Meningioma brain tumors and 1 schwannoma tumor on her ear canal. Brittany had Gamma Knife RadioSurgery in those 5 tumors. Most recently she has suffered from an ongoing cerebral spinal fluid leak which resulted in another craniotomy to repair it. April 2024 Dr Tandon inserted a brain shunt to alleviate the excess spinal fluid. June 2024 while preparing for another gamma knife, imaging showed the original cancerous meningioma growing. Currently, Brittany has decided to apply for a trial medication that her neuro oncologist recommended. She is waiting to see if she meets all of the criteria for this trial.
